Day 3 at Version was spent recording all of the vocals for the album. And yes, there is alot more vocals than on recent Switchblade recordings and yes, Anders do all of the vocals this time around. And Anders really stepped up and delivered unearthly vocals if you ask me. So after 2 x 3 days of recording, the album is done except for some Hammond and piano stuff that will be recorded at Gröndal just prior to mixing session. No date has been set yet but it should hopefully happen sometime in the next few weeks. Until then..

All of day two at Version was spent recording guitar overdubs for all three tracks of the album. Guitars (and the rest as well) is sound huge to be honest.
Well, not that much else to report since it all about guitar right now. Since we don’t have the amazing selection of mics or pre-amps here at Version compared to Gröndal, Daniel brought his nice API pre-amp and Fat Head ribbon mic. So one amp/cab was mic’ed with the Fat Head and a Revox 3500 and the other amp/cab was mic’ed using a Revox 3500 and a Sennheiser MD421. No expensive stuff but great sounding none the less.

After a few days of well needed rest we’re back in the studio. This time in a smaller studio called Version. The studio is a lot smaller and alot more simple but serves the purpose very well for us when doing guitar overdubs, keys, vocals etc.
We started the day pretty late with guitar overdubs on one track. Since it’s pretty damn hard to time/sync the slower parts we came up with an idea… While we recorded the basic live tracks we filmed all the takes with two cameras and that footage has now been synchronized with the audio in Pro Tools. So Johan have a monitor in the liveroom that he can look at us play the track and sync to that.
